A DOLGELLAU stud farm has won a coveted award at the recent Welsh Pony and Cob Society Performance Awards.
The Moelview Stud has won the 2015 Best Welsh Section B Breeder Award at an awards ceremony held at The Jurys Inn, Cheltenham at the end of November.
The recognition came about as the Overall Welsh B Performance Winner was won by Moelview Prince Consort.
Consort also won the Outstanding Pony Achievement Award.
Following the Welsh Mountain Pony’s win at last years’ Olympia International Horse Show, Consort has once again had an impressive showing season winning at the Royal International Horse Show and qualifying for the British National Dressage Finals.
Inn the final of the national competition, he was placed seventh in his class, being the top placed pony and stallion.
Moelview Prince Consort is owned by Mrs. H Skirton and produced by Samantha Roberts.
The Welsh Pony and Cob Society Performance Awards are open to all registered ponies and cobs and cover all disciplines including endurance riding, driving and cross-country.
The awards also recognises younger riders and their abilities and celebrate the vast versatility of the Welsh breed.
