A PARENT and toddler group in Penrhyndeudraeth held a double celebration after receiving a special award and to mark their fourth birthday.

Arch Noa Parent and Toddler Group which meets at the church hall of Holy Trinity Church Penrhyndeudraeth has just been awarded £500 from Skipton Building Society Grassroots Giving Initiative.

Leader Angela Swann said: “The award will help us to introduce professional music and movement exercise for mothers, babies and toddlers in our regular sessions each Tuesday and I would like to thank everyone who voted for us helping to secure this much needed funding to add to our Healthy Living programme assisted by our health visitor from our local health centre.

"This is a double celebration for the group as we approach our 4th birthday this November.”
