A LECTURER from Coleg Ceredigion has been recognised for good practice in Welsh and bilingual education.

Maggie Neville, a vocational access lecturer, was presented with a Sgiliaith award for Welsh delivery at a conference organised by the national training body at Newtown.

Maggie also received tickets to Portmeirion in north Wales.

Speaking after the presentation, Maggie said: “I am really pleased to have received this award from Sgiliaith. The award scheme is very worthwhile in that it encourages tutors to develop and demonstrate new approaches to bilingual and Welsh teaching. I am now looking forward to my trip to Portmeirion.”

Anna ap Robert, Welsh language advisor at Coleg Ceredigion, said: “This is fantastic news and a great achievement for Maggie."
