Madam,

I was disappointed to read a letter that asserted that the EU has not had its accounts signed off for over 20 years.

While there have been problems with the accounts, as you might expect with such a complex organisation, this assertion is not true. It would be helpful if people wishing to attack the EU could use the internet to fact check such statements before repeating them.
