Madam,
I have known Snowdonia and Meirionnydd all my life and I must admit that I have made use of the various tourist information centres (TICs) for many, many years, not only as a visitor or tourist but also classed as a “local resident!”
A few years ago the TIC in Tywyn was closed but, even with the services being relocated to the town library, the previous office in the High Street remains empty. Maybe it could re-open?
Meirionnydd relies on its very-valued tourists and visitors, not only from England but also now from all over the world! They should have a first-class service in return for boosting the local economy with accommodation, shops, cafes, attractions.
Yours etc, Dr Timothy Grout, Happy Valley, Tywyn.
