Madam,

I would like to ask for help in finding out about my grandfather (taid), Thomas John Edwards. He married the eldest daughter of William Roberts, Ellen Ann(e).

Thomas John Edwards was a master butcher, as was his father. They came from Bala.

I remember his sister, our aunt Lizzie Mary, married name Smith, telling us about going back to Bala to visit cousins. Their father had a butcher shop in Bala high street.

My grandparents named their son Tegid, after Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake).

Thomas went to Canada for several years between 1912 to 1920.

Little is known by us about my taid who died in 1942.
