All crew members dug deep to empty the content of their pockets and managed to raise a total of £126.45. The money was then used to purchase goods for Cardigan Food Bank and distributed to those in need over the Christmas and New Year period.
The Cardigan crew delivered the goods to the foodbank on Christmas Eve, just a few hours before Father Christmas.
Watch manager Roy Evans said: “I’m very proud of the entire crew for giving so generously; we are delighted to support such a worthy cause as the Cardigan Food Bank.
“As firefighters, we are honoured to serve every single person within the community of Cardigan and the surrounding area, but on this occasion, it is humbling to be able to provide a small token of support to those most in need.”
