Four flood alerts have been issued for West Wales communities as the remnants of a tropical storm are due to hit the coast later today.

Storm Edouard has been barrelling across the Atlantic Ocean and the remains of the cyclone could bring localised flooding, Natural Resources Wales is warning.

Natural Resources Wales has issued flood alerts for the Leri catchment, including Borth and Talybont; Mawddach and Wnion catchment, including Fairbourne and Ganllwyd; Dysynni catchment from Tywyn to Minffordd; and Dyfi catchment, including Dinas Mawddwy and Llanbrynmair.

River levels in these four waterways are already above normal levels and the storm could lead to problems caused by surface water.
