TWO Meirionnydd men have developed a close friendship after benefiting from a project for those individuals who are lonely or isolated.
Following a difficult time in his life, Gareth Owen, of Dolgellau, decided that volunteering would be a good idea and he contacted the Mantell Gwynedd office who provided him with information about their Ffrindia’ Befriending Project.
Since October 2014 Gareth has been befriending regularly with David Johnson, of Bryncrug and has bonded due their main interest of visiting historical sites.
Both have now been asked to take part in producing a digital story for Ffrindia’. These short films would be used to show the value of a befriending project for individuals who are either lonely or isolated.
The films were officially launched on 11 March at Castell Deudraeth and they can be seen on either the Mantell Gwynedd web site or on You Tube by searching for Ffrindia’ Aberydi a Dolgellau.
