A fundraising event will take place tomorrow to raise money in memory of young Barmouth mum.

Stacey May Morris, a 33-year-old mother-of-three, died in October and the fun day will raise money for Diabetes UK and Hafal.

Stacey’s aunt, Delyth Morris, said: “Stacey slipped into a diabetic coma and hyperthermia.

“As her aunty, cousin and sisters miss her dearly, we would like to raise awareness of Type 1 diabetes.

“She left three young children who miss her dearly.”

A table-top sale, tombola and raffle will take place at the Oasis car park in Barmouth this Saturday, 1 August, from 11am to 3pm.

Delyth added: “Due to Covid-19 there will only be a small amount of stalls. We are holding a tombola, children’s tombola prize every time, raffle and bric a brac stall.

“We kindly ask you to bring lots of change so we don’t have to exchange money, and ask you to use the hand gel provided before selecting a tombola ticket.

“Please, please follow the guidelines; two metres apart, be patient and let help raise awareness of mental health and diabetes while remembering our lovely Stacey.”

Money raised will go to Diabetes UK and mental health charity, Hafal.
