AN ABERYSTWYTH woman is £8,888 richer after winning a competition run by a bedding company.

Hazel Hancock’s name was drawn at random out of 50,000 entries in the Replace Every 8 social media competition organised by Dreams.

Hazel, a senior program controls and funding manager for the Welsh Government, from Aberystwyth, has a nine-year-old son called Seth and is engaged to be married.

She said: “This is truly fantastic and I am so grateful to Dreams. My fiancé and I are over the moon that we are now able to plan our perfect wedding, and my son is thrilled that the three of us are going on the holiday of a lifetime to Florida. I have never won anything before in my life and I would like to thank the team at Dreams for this absolutely amazing prize.”

Dreams launched the Replace Every 8 campaign in August to educate people about the importance of changing your mattress every eight years.
