MORE THAN 3,000 new cases of coronavirus and 10 deaths have been recorded across Wales today.

The latest figures, released this lunch time by Public Health Wales, show that Wales has recorded 3,292 new cases, with the national rate of infection now standing at 633.0 cases per 100,000 population.

Of those new cases, 45 have been recorded in Ceredigion with Gwynedd recording 114.

Carmarthenshire has recorded 87 new cases while Pembrokeshire has recorded 81.

Powys has recorded 122 new cases today.

Of the 10 deaths recorded today, four have been in the Hywel Dda Health Board region of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, taking the total number of suspected Covid-19 fatalities in the region to 626.

No new deaths have been recorded in the Betsi Cadwaladr region of north Wales or in Powys, with their totals remaining at 1,127 and 86 respectively.
