There have been 130 suspected Covid deaths in the Hywel Dda area during the pandemic, but only seven of those were in Ceredigion, ONS figures show.

Gwynedd has seen 67 deaths with Covid, and Powys 92.

Figures released by the Office for National Statistics on Tuesday, show there were no deaths with Covid across the region in the last week for which figures have been released - up to 26 June.

The data shows the breakdown of deaths by local authority area for the whole pandemic.

The cumulative total for each area is as follows:

Ceredigion: 7 deaths, 2 at home, 4 in hospital and 1 in a care home.

Gwynedd: 67 deaths, 3 at home, 46 in hospital, 16 in care home, 1 in another communal establishment, and 1 ’elsewhere’.

Powys: 92 deaths, 9 at home, 37 in hospital and 46 in care homes.

Carmarthenshire: 83 deaths, 5 at home, 38 in hospital and 40 in care homes.

Pembrokeshire: 40 deaths, 2 at home, 30 in hospital and 8 in care homes.

That brings the total in the Hywel Dda University Health Board area (Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire) to 130.
