AN Aberystwyth hotelier has been thanked after donating £1,400 to Bronglais Hospital’s chemotherapy unit.

Nerys Evans, of the Marine Hotel, presented a donation of £1,400 to the chemotherapy day unit after hosting a fundraising evening and raffle at the hotel.

Dr Elin Jones, locum consultant in oncology, said: “A massive thank you to Nerys and her family for raising such a fantastic amount of money for us.

“It is by the generosity of such gifts that we will be able to establish a chemotherapy unit for the people of Ceredigion and mid Wales.”
