A HARLECH Parkinson’s campaigner has travelled to Cardiff to meet with an Assembly Member.

Simon Thomas, Mid and West Wales Plaid Cymru AM, met with Elaine Evans at the launch of the Get It On Time campaign which aims to make sure that everyone with Parkinson’s who goes into hospital gets their medication on time.

Elaine said: “I found the event a wonderful opportunity to speak with AMs and explain the difficulties people living with Parkinson’s have in getting their medication on time and how important it is to get them on time.

“These events are a valuable way to explain to politicians and medical staff what life is like living with Parkinson’s and also to hear and learn from other people living with the condition on how they manage their life.

Mr Thomas added: “I’m pleased to meet Elaine to discuss the campaign to ensure people with Parkinson’s in hospitals get their medication on time.

“I will be pressing the Labour Government for assurances on this issue following my meeting with her.”
