A TALENTED Aberaeron musician may never be able to play guitar again after a crazed body-builder attacked him with a meat cleaver in a completely unprovoked street attack.

Daf Roberts, 25, received life-changing injuries after being repeatedly stabbed by the man who was high on a cocktail of drink and drugs outside a busy shopping centre in Cardiff, a crown court judge was told.

Currently recovering back home in Ffos-y-ffin, Daf recalled how he had just parked his Ford Fiesta when Polish national Lukasz Sierzant, 31, forced open the driver’s door.

The steroid-abuser - who the court was told had been on a three-day alcohol and cocaine binge – attacked Daf with a meat cleaver.

Sierzant was said to have started “hacking” at his victim who tried to shield his face and body but suffered deep cuts.

Sierzant was jailed for nine years for the attack, which left Daf with injuries that mean he may never play his beloved guitar again.

“I was taken completely by surprise as, without saying a word, this bald figure dressed in black forced open my door and started hacking at my face and neck,” he recalled.

“I put my arms up to protect myself, but he just kept hacking at both my arms.”
