An inquest has been opened into the death of a 36-year-old dad who died saving his children at sea in Barmouth.
Jonathan Stevens, a father of seven from Telford, had been visiting the seaside town with his children on 2 August.
When two of his children got into difficulty, Mr Stevens managed to pull them to safety. But sadly he could not save himself.
A gofundme page set up to help the family has raised £14,633.
The inquest, opened in Caernarfon on Monday, has been adjourned.
