Madam,
Re the article about the concerns of the people of Fairbourne over sea defences. This should bother us all. Fairbourne is on the end of the peninsula and this should be attended to.
This is just the beginning of land being eroded away, which would eventually carry on round the coast if not attended to.
Wales has many natural resources that could be use to hold back the erosion of the land. We have for instance lots of boulders lying around, which could be used. And slate could be used, which we have in abundance. These are natural hard core. Okay, we need manpower, but the cost would be more to do nothing.
We have at least hindsight to know the score which, if left unattended, will be a national disaster to us and future generations.
Yours etc,
Jean Miles, Harlech.
