A LANDSLIDE has closed part of the coastal path between Clarach and Borth.

The section of path, north of Wallog towards Aberwennol (Borth), has now been cordoned off after a landslide beneath the path itself left the area unsafe to walk along, with cracks appearing along the path itself.

Walkers are being urged to walk along the B4572 whilst the pathway is closed.

A spokesperson for Ceredigion County Council said: “Discussions will now take place with relevant landowners will need to take place in order to put a diversionary route in place prior to the coast path reopening on 17 July.

“Notices and signage will be erected to advise of changes. Signage will also be placed on the highways to warn drivers that there may be walkers on the road during this time.”
