COUNCILLORS Mair Thomas and Robert G Owen reported that they had attended the village hall meeting and that the financial situation of the committee is very healthy.It was made known that the committee wished to thank Meinir Lewis for arranging the service for Remembrance Sunday and this was seconded by the council members, who said that it was welcoming to see the hall full for the service. The next meeting of the village hall committee will be held on 25 February 2016.Planning applications: Retrospective application to keep parking area and access: Land near 1 and 2 Pen Lan, Llanfair (NP5/66/212B) - granted.Section 73 application to vary condition 2 of planning consent NP5/58/217A dated 27 July 2014 to allow for one dormer window and three rooflight windows to south facing roof, one rooflight window to western elevation, one hie level window to eastern elevation, and one low level window to northern elevation - Swn y Mor, Llanfair (NP5/66/217E) - granted.Applications for financial assistance have been received from Harlech and Ardudwy Leisure (£500) and Harlech Leisure Centre (£250).The clerk reported that she had received an e-mail from Iolo Owen outlining what had been happening in the leisure centre since it opened beginning of the month and also stating how much grant had been received together with the financial contributions that had been received from the community councils in the area.The clerk reported that she had received a phone call from the staff of HSBC in Harlech stating that a document dating back to 1838 had been found in the bank and that her and Cllr Robert G Owen had gone to fetch the document. This document lists the names of all the farms in the parish of Llanfair at this time with the names of the owners/tenants together with the names of the fields and their use on each farm and how much rent every farm was paying to the rector. It was agreed that members will have an opportunity to see this documents before taking it to the local archives office.It was made known that the little gate go-ing from the quay to the sea wall had been mended.It was agreed to contact the Highways Department to draw their attention to the overgrowth along the main top road towards Wern y Wylan, by Pant yr Onnen junction and also along the road from the hall towards Derlwyn housing estate.It was made known that the litter on Llandanwg beach had been cleared.It was made known that the public footpath going from Cae Cethin towards Argoed had been repaired.The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, 13 January.
