Concert

A CONCERT entitled Pastyme with Good Company is being performed at Trinity Church on Friday, 8 April, at 7.30pm.The performance is by The Scholars and Gentlemen chamber choir formed in 2015 and based in Oswestry.They perform music of the Renaissance and Baroque periods.This concert is one of madrigals and Elizabethan song, featuring works by Henry Tudor, John Dowland and others.The group is conducted by Mike Donkin, who has had a long career in choral music, both in singing and directing.This is the fourth concert of the series of six presented by Llanidloes Music and Arts Club. Entry is free to members.

Mexican night

COME and support the local primary school by attending a Mexican theme night on 16 April at 7pm in the Function Room by the Old Mill. In aid of the Friends of Llanidloes Primary School, a ticket includes a welcoming drink, Mexican buffet and dessert. Van Institute

WHIST drives take place on Tuesday, 19 April (charity) and Tuesday, 26 April (charity), with 8pm starts.Sing and feel amazing on 9 and 10 April, 9.30am to 4pm.This is a two-day singing workshop, with beautiful songs in four-part harmonies, led by Charlotte Woodford.
