Machynlleth Town Council re-elected their mayor for his fourth term.
Cllr Jeremy Paige was voted in by councillors at the Council AGM on 19 May.
“Politics at every level is becoming increasingly pressured - I hope debates on all sides can be robust and respectful.
“Machynlleth is a special place, and we should be leading on this.”
Deputy Mayor Rwth Hughes was also “honoured” to be re-elected for her second term: “I look forward to the challenges another year brings, and I will do my very best to represent Machynlleth.”
