TWO Meirionnydd towns have been named in a list of the UK’s top 10 trending spots for a summer holiday.

Barmouth and Harlech have both been named in the top 10, finishing fourth and eighth respectively.

In the last month, Barmouth has seen an increase in online searches of 387 per cent, whilst Harlech has seen a 192 per cent increase.

The other North Wales town in the top 10 was Prestatyn, which came seventh in the list compiled by HomeToGo.co.uk

Barry and Porthcawl complete the Welsh line-up.

Deal in Kent came out on top for the best trending seaside resort in the UK.
