A BARMOUTH man has raised £400 by making a rug for charity.

Mike Triggs has now made 43 rugs which have been raffled off to raise money for various charities.

The latest creation was raffled to raise money for Prostate Cancer.

Cllr Linda Morgan, chairman of the Dolgellau Hospital League of Friends was asked to draw the raffle/choose date in diary at the hospital this week.

The winning date was 16 February and was won by Mary Barker Hafan Deg Barmouth.

Linda said this was the 43rd rug made by Mr Triggs which is a great achievement, he has worked for many charities including Air Ambulance and Age Concern and many other charities.

He started to work on this rug in June and I would like to thank him for this work and for all his efforts over the years for various charities.

The money has been set to Awyr Las which is the main charity within Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board with this money specifically for Prostrate Cancer.
