AN INTREPID Newcastle Emlyn grandmother will be braving the elements on Boxing Day by taking part in an annual charity swim for her autistic grandson.
Hairdresser Pamela Atterbury will join hundreds of others in this year’s Tenby Boxing Day Swim on the North Beach.
The event sees giant groups of charitable people joining together to brave the freezing depths of Carmarthen Bay to raise money for good causes.
Pamela will be collecting for her five-year-old grandson Casey’s special therapy which helps him cope with the day to day challenges of autism
“Casey has intensive, one-to-one therapy three times a week,” explained Pamela.
“The one-to-one sessions are three hours each, designed to teach life and behavioural skills and language development through play.”
