Over 50’s Friendship Club

ON THURSDAY, 3 December it is an afternoon of free and easy games and chat. Come along to the Catholic church hall on a Thursday at 2.15pm. Christian Spiritual ChurchTHE CHURCH meets every Wednesday at 7.30pm in the Old Grammar School. Services have clairvoyance with mediums from all parts of the UK. Spiritualist healing and refresh-ments available after the service. All welcome regardless of faith or beliefs or even none at all.Attic PlayersTHE CHRISTMAS production this year will be Wyrd Sisters, a play by Stephen Briggs, based on Terry Pratchett’s Discworld Book. Rehearsals are taking place and the performance dates are 11 and 12 and 17 to 19 December. Tickets are available from Fair & Fabulous in Sycamore Street.

Hanes Emlyn History

OPEN Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 2.30pm is the Then & Now photo exhibition plus some new items, including a record of every gravestone and memorial to those who fell in the First World War over a five-mile radius. They will also be open on the Victorian Evening, when displays will include old Victorian Evening photographs from 2004 to 2007.

Victorian Evening

ON WEDNESDAY evening, 2 December from 4pm, shops will be open until about 8pm for the Victorian Evening. Fletchers Shire horses and wagon will take people around town and there will be fairground amusements in Emlyn Square. There will be judges wandering around to judge the best costume and also to the best shop window. The market hall will also have a variety of activities. The awards presentation of awards will take place at the Emlyn Arms Hotel after the shops have closed.
