OVER 200 dogs turned out to be microchipped at an event held by the RSPCA in Pwllheli.

RSPCA West Gwynedd Branch held a free dog microchipping event at St Joseph’s Hall on Saturday, 9 April where 226 dogs were chipped within five hours.

From April it has become a legal requirement for all dogs to be microchipped and contact details up-to-date.

Pet owners queued up outside the venue for up to two hours to make sure their pets were able to be microchipped by the vet and a trained microchipper.
