Madam,

You report in your edition of 13 July that Gwynedd Council is considering making parents pay for early-morning childcare (‘Parents may have to pay for morning childcare’). So they should pay. Don’t parents take any responsibility for their children any longer? Surely it is their responsibility to see that their children go to school properly fed with a proper breakfast, after all they get enough child allowance.

Do what we had to do years ago, don’t have children until you can afford to look after them.
