PLANS to turn a former police station into a private home have been approved by Gwynedd Council planners.
A new £900,000 facility to house both Nefyn’s fire and police stations was officially opened on the town’s business park in 2015, making the former stations redundant.
But the former police station on Ffordd Dewi Sant will now be turned it into a home after plans were approved.
The proposals also include a front extension and porch.
The officers’ summing-up notes say: “The principle of a change of use to a dwelling is acceptable.
“It is also considered that the design is appropriate and will not have a negative effect on local amenities.”
Neither Nefyn Town Council nor the public consultation raised any objection.
The joint fire and police station is now fully operational, with work having began on the project in April 2014.
