Madam,

You rightly headline your story ‘Too little action over village sea defence’.

In the two years since the last general election, our MP has not mentioned poor Fairbourne and its special plight once in Parliament.

This despite the fact that in the 2015 Fairbourne hustings she waxed lyrical about the town’s troubles.

Ms Saville-Roberts may argue that flooding is a devolved issue but so too is Welsh language and culture, as well as water, which has not stopped her, rightly, talking extensively about these matters in the House of Commons since 2015.

Fairbourne deserves a special voice in Parliament, of that I have no doubt.

Yours etc,

Ian MacIntyre, St John’s Hill, Barmouth.
