With the beginning of 2016 about to dawn, individuals and organisations are making New Year resolutions and planning for the future.
It has again been a difficult year financially for businesses and families alike, and the new year is likely to continue to be a challenging one.
Here at the Cambrian News, the dawning of 2016 means the start of another year of keeping you up-to-date with the news that matters to you most. We remain committed to being your eyes and ears and your champions.
The campaign for our health service and our district general hospital will certainly continue to make headlines and you can be assured there will be no let-up in our campaign to keep services local.
Transport and the fight for rural services will continue to be high on the agenda; and the activities of our county, town and community councils will also dominate pages as we scrutinise how your council tax is being spent, at a time when big cuts are necessary to balance the books.
As the new year starts, we have no idea what other stories will be dominating the pages of the Cambrian News in 2016. But our resolution is to continue keeping you informed about the local issues and events which affect you most.
Our hard-working team will be bringing you your local news, good and bad, tragic and happy.
Sometimes our news coverage does not make us popular but we feel, as your local newspaper, that we would be letting you down if we didn’t bring you the full picture, champion your causes and allow you, our readers, to have your say.
You can be assured that our campaigning on your behalf will continue in 2016. We urge you to do your part to help us protect the interests of our communities. If you know of any wrong-doing that should be exposed, let us know so that we can take up the cudgels. And we want to know about your good news too – all your achievements, happenings and fundraising.
Blwyddyn Newydd Dda i chi i gyd, Happy New Year to you all.
