BARMOUTH RNLI’s popular Dog Show proved to be a crowd-puller again this year when owners arrived at the lifeboat station to enter their dogs of all sizes in a variety of categories.

Winners and runners-up of each category received a certificate and rosette and the event was adjudicated by Ed Moss from Williams’ Veterinary practice, assisted by head launcher Jackie Thomas.

Best in Show was awarded to Jasper brought along by Phoebe Mulligan from Staffordshire.

“It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and the dogs made sure that their owners were impeccably behaved all afternoon,” an organiser said.

The next event will be the Come Visit Us Day on Sunday, 30 July when members of the public can view the lifeboats and speak to the crew.

This will be followed by the Annual Fun Day on Sunday, 20 August.

Both events will be held at the lifeboat station on the promenade at Barmouth where the Inshore and All Weather Lifeboats will be on display, providing a perfect opportunity for everyone to see exactly how their donations help save lives at sea.
