PUPILS at a secondary school in Aberystwyth have been sent home to self-isolate after a positive coronavirus test.
Ceredigion County Council confirmed today that a group of students at Ysgol Penglais in Aberystwyth were sent home yesterday to self-isolate following one positive lateral flow test.
The pupils were sent home while the Contact Tracing Team contacted all close contacts and awaited the results of a full test.
“Further plans will follow after receiving the results of the PCR test,” the council added.
“Detailed safety arrangements are in place in the school to ensure the safety of all and that education is maintained for the pupils.”
