PUPILS from three local primary schools have been hard at work creating guys in preparation for Criccieth’s first ever bonfire on the beach.

Ysgol Treferthyr, Ysgol Llanystumdwy and Ysgol Tremadog have each created their own guy in a bid to raise money for their chosen charity.

Before the three guys meet their fate on the eve of Bonfire Night, they will be on display at Dylan’s Restaurant in Criccieth, where local people are invited to vote for their favourite by donating a penny or a pound for the Guy.

The winner will be announced on 4 November and will receive art vouchers for the school. All the money collected will be given back to the schools to present to the charity selected by them.

The event is free, with voluntary donations kindly requested towards the costs to make sure that this becomes a regular date in Criccieth’s social calendar.
