A ROAD near Llangrannog is expected to be closed for ’several hours’ after a lorry became stuck on a notoriously sharp hairpin bend.

The B4334 between Llangrannog and Brynhoffnant remains blocked at Rhiw Gam after the vehicle became wedged fast around a mile short of Llangrannog shortly after 10am.

It is the latest incident at the renowned blackspot where buses and lorries have become stuck on the winding, steep incline in the past.

Police have warned that the road will remain closed while they wait for recovery to take place.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We received a call at 10.15am this morning to say that a HGV was stuck in the road.

“Recovery has been arranged but the road will be closed for several hours.”
