A road in Fairbourne will close to cars tomorrow to allow flood defence work to take place.
Gwynedd Council closed Penrhyn Drive South today (Wednesday), citing health and safety grounds.
A spokesperson said: “Gwynedd Council have made an order, the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed in either direction along that length of Class III Road known as Penrhyn Drive South, Fairbourne for a point directly opposite Fferm Y Friog Caravan Park.
“The order is necessary on health and safety grounds to the public during repair works to the flood/sea defence.”
The order comes into effect tomorrow (Wednesday, 2 September) and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within approximately two weeks.
