Madam,
Recently the Cambrian News has been getting letters regarding both the proposed by-pass and the new housing in Llanbedr.
Unfortunately they seem to come from people who are not permanent residents in the village.
I have lived here nearly 10 years now and walk down the main road daily to the shop. It is dangerous. There is no pavement, cars park on the road all the way through the village and many drivers totally ignore the speed limit. Primary school children have to walk down this road as well as anybody going to the shops or for the bus. It also holds up traffic, especially in the summer, so roll on the bypass.
As for the housing, it may not be to everyone’s taste, but far better than the boarded-up, falling-down building with the overgrown grounds that was there. No building site looks attractive, the finished product will not spoil the village
Yours etc,
Keith Barber,
Llanbedr.
