There was a debate on reopening the Aberystwyth to Carmarthen railway in the House of Commons on 20 February and Ceredigion MP Ben Lake and the MP for Carmarthen, Jonathan Edwards, talked about the benefits reopening the railway would bring. The government transport minister, Andrew Jones, set out the government’s position (all recorded on the Hansard website).
My online petition, 'Look at the viability of reopening the Aberystwyth to Carmarthen railway', is on the UK government’s petitions website, and it asks the government to consider reopening the railway. People in Ceredigion can show their support for this project by signing the petition.
Yours etc, Jamie Davies, Maes y Felin, Lampeter.
