THE clean-up continues at a Meirionnydd pub after it was struck by lightning - sparking a blaze and forcing the evacuation of bed and breakfast guests.
The Peniarth Arms in Bryncrug was struck by lightning last Wednesday, causing a fire which ripped through the building’s attic.
Speaking a few days after the blaze, which took firefighters approximately three hours to extinguish fully, pub owner Suzanne Fox (pictured) said: “We’re still waiting for insurers to come around and estimate the amount of damage done but the bar is open and rooms are available.”
