Talented Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor students hit the stage for a show-stopping performance of classic musical Grease live in Pwllheli.

About 30 students from across the college performed their show Grîs over three nights in Neuadd Dwyfor, last week.

The show, based on the classic 1950s-set high school musical starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, gave students the chance to have fun and explore their creative sides while discussing important themes like bullying, inequality and the dangers of drinking and smoking.

The cast of student stage-performers included iconic singing, dancing and acting roles like Danny, Sandy, Frenchie and Kenickie, with students from a host of subject areas taking part – beyond drama and performing arts.

The show, led by musical director Gwenno Pritchard and director Natalie Coles-Williams, included a five-piece band and was the college’s latest traditional annual music concerts.
