THERE was an excellent response to the Gwynedd Library Service Books bingo tournament this year with 165 forms returned.

This was a competition for adults and had three months to complete the challenge of reading their way through different categories of books in an attempt to complete the bingo line.

Consequently, the intention was to challenge everyone to read more and to read more widely!

Having completed one line, everyone’s name went into a hat, but some were more determined and went for the ‘Full house’!

Here are the names that came out of the hat this year: Nesta Dobson, Bala library member; Jamie Coxton, Barmouth library member; Catherine Holden, Penygroes library member.

There was a lovely basket of goodies rewarding the three lucky winners.
