Madam,
Ceredigion Youth Service is reflecting on another successful six-week summer programme, which saw over a 100 young people aged 11-25 involved in 21 different projects, workshops, activities and events.
Provisions focused on topics such as employability and upskilling, health and wellbeing, participation, sport and leisure and the environment. Young People had the opportunity to develop new and existing skills such as self-esteem, confidence, communication and problem solving, all in non-formal, fun environments where they were able to meet new people, gain accreditation and participate in a range of exciting activities.
The Ceredigion Youth Service won the prestigious Bronze Quality Mark for Youth Work in Wales on 23 June and received praise for high quality youth work covering 16 core areas.
It’s pleasing to see the service providing a quality service which is clearly beneficial to our young people who have enjoyed the activities over the summer.
Yours etc
Gethin Jones, principal youth officer for Ceredigion Youth Service, and Cllr Catrin Miles, the Cabinet member for learning services.
