Madam,

What a great weekend.

It started on Saturday, 1 December with the switching on of the Christmas lights in Tywyn. The High Street looked fantastic with the Christmas tree looking beautiful. Father Christmas arrived in his sleigh and once seated in his grotto he distributed a gift to all the children in the very long queue.

A huge thank you to all who made this event so special, the council and the Rotary Club and all helpers who dressed in fabulous outfits that all added to the wonderful outcome.

We then moved on to Neuadd Pendre to see the pantomime of Sleeping Beauty, presented by the Touring Panto Company. Our group was thrilled with the quality of the show and wishes to thank the artistes for the pleasure they brought to all who attended, young and old.

Many thanks to staff at the centre for organising this event and for making sure we had a lovely warm and comfortable room to relax in.

To complete this great weekend, on Sunday, 2 December we went to see The King and I being streamed from the London Palladium to our beautiful cinema in Tywyn. It was truly fantastic.

Thank you to the staff members at the Magic Lantern Cinema for bringing this show there.

We want to thank all who helped to make this a very special weekend of fun, joy and laughter.
