Madam,

The public toilets in Barmouth leave a lot to be desired.

What a let down to the town they are and what must visitors think.

The town has many lovely shops, eateries and attractions, more now than ever before in my opinion, so why are the public toilets the same as they were in the 1980s when my family and I came as day trippers.

They haven’t been upgraded at all! They are dirty, smelly, dark and in disrepair, with no proper baby changing facilities and open sanitary bins. My small children and I dread having to go in them, and nappy-changing is done in the boot of the car!

Why can’t some of the annual revenue from the car park be used to upgrade at least one of the toilet blocks?

Yours etc,

V Henry, Dolgellau.
