Walking down Chalybeate Street in Aberystwyth, dodging the tourists, skipping steps with social distancing in mind, trying to keep my mask on and umbrella up and avoiding loose dogs and children, I stopped at No. 21. The Flower Shop.

The shop on the corner. It made my heart sing - as it always does. The display was a gorgeous zinc bath laden with sunflowers. It looked absolutely stunning and for a few moments it completely took me out of the damp dull day, the Covid reminders around every corner and the thought of school looming large next week and the holidays coming to a close.

It gets top marks from me for its imaginative displays - not always of flowers even - but definitely something to stop and pause for a few moments for.
