Porthmadog is mourning the loss of two much-loved people this week, following the deaths of a nurse and a rugby player.
Gemma Adran, 32, who worked at Meddyg Care in Porthmadog, died following a crash in Bangor on 30 March.
David Rene Simmonds, 36, who played for Porthmadog Rugby Club, was found at a property in Tremadog on Sunday.
A fundraising page set up to see Gemma laid to rest in her native Philippines has raised over £6,250 so far.
Bethan Jones, who set up the page, described Gemma as “an exceptional nurse, college, friend and mentor whose life was taken far too soon”.
Her family said she was “a much-loved daughter who we will miss very much”.
Paying tribute to David, who recently rejoined the team, Porthmadog Rugby Club said on Sunday via social media: “The club grieves tonight for our gentle giant David Rene.”
