Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was spotted around Aberystwyth last week.
Gordon was spotted by locals in the town, where he was thought to have been filming for the National Geographic series Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted.
Gordon stayed at Gwesty Cymru, on the seafront that was taken over by local hoteliers, husband and wife Julian and Anna Maria Shelley, who also run Cardigan and Celtic Bay guest houses on the promenade.
Julian said the pair had a “thoroughly enjoyable experience hosting Gordon” at Gwesty Cymru from Tuesday to Saturday, 6 to 10 April.
Julian said: “I would like to think that we offered a professional and discreet service which follows through to all of our guests. Gordon did say that he had a really nice stay and that he would recommend us.”
And while the celebrity chef may be well known for his expletive-ridden outbursts, Julian said: “In fact, he was probably one of the most polite and easiest guests we have ever had.”
Gordon, who has an OBE, founded his global restaurant group, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, in 1997, and has gone on to become a well-known TV personality, hosting programmes, such as Hell’s Kitchen, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and The F Word.
Uncharted sees Gordon travelling across the globe, to some of the most isolated places, to explore different cultures and their relationship with food.
Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted is set to return for a third series.
It is not known when or if Aberystwyth will appear on the show.
