TYWYN held its own “rail wedding” last weekend on the same day that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot.

Wedding fever swept the UK as millions watched the Duke and Duchess of Sussex take their vows, but another couple held their own wedding service at the Talyllyn Railway.

Sion McGuinness and Samantha Rogers – who booked their wedding before the royal couple announced their date – enjoyed a quirky day in the sunshine riding on the historic locomotives and a tandem bike before heading off to Scotland for a tandem-cycling honeymoon.
