Madam,
Mrs Doreen Lewis of Rhoslefain sadly passed away on 31 October. Doreen, from a farming background, was a kind caring person who ran a campsite for more than 40 years at Llanrwst. Many of the campers will remember her in the 1970s and 1980s dashing round the field delivering milk and eggs every morning in her car taking time to talk to everyone, many campers returning to the site year after year, and in our case for 38 years. Those of a certain age may recall that Doreen helped to run the Forces Post Office at Tonfannau camp. She was very proud of her Welsh Heritage, but was interested in other people’s culture and ideas. A unique lady who will be sadly missed.
Yours etc
Peter and Marjorie Austin
Nantwich.
