Your correspondent last week is concerned about a caravan park spoiling the view from the Harlech to Llanbedr road looking towards Shell Island.

This is not a problem as the view will be ruined anyway when Gwynedd Council construct the urban expressway that is to be the Llanbedr bypass. It will be highly visible from this corner (known colloquially as “good God corner”) and from numerous other areas of the National Park.

But hey, it will save 42 seconds journey time so who cares about the spoiled views?
